Who likes free books? Who isn't into those damn fangled digital whatsits with their crazy screens and non physical copies? How about a chance to get a free paperback? Here's an upcoming giveaway on Goodreads where one lucky reader will win a signed copy of Damned Lies, the first book of the Damned Lies Series! The giveaway starts Friday, 12/5 and runs through the weekend!
Damned Lies is an absurdist tale and the snarky, geeky memoir of a man who either is suffering a concussion or has had the most fantastically unlikely life. Stuck in the hospital with a broken leg, he reminisces about the summer after he graduated high school. He spins a tale of how he cloned himself and then went on an unlikely summer adventure across America, filled with such things as a hobo boxing tournament, zombies, a dark sorcerer in a vast wasteland, a nun, a vampire, and even two giant robots. And even after all of that, there is still the very important lesson he learned on why cloning yourself is not a good idea...
Damned Lies is just the first book in a series of fantastic and utterly ridiculous adventures. There are already two more books in the series: Damned Lies Strike Back, the memoirs of the narrator's college years and his war with his homicidal clone's Lovecraftian cult, and Damned Lies of the Dead 3D, the memoir of Austin, Texas's zombie outbreak of 1995.

"combines absurdist humour and the picaresque in a manner reminiscent of The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy."
